One element that emerged in the synodal discussions was the desire for some guidance on the vexed and delicate questions around gender. In response, the Bishops Conference has published two documents, one looking at the subject more generally, the other offering help to Catholic Schools:
- Called to be Children of God: A Catholic Understanding of Gender Identity,
- Called to be Children of God: An Understanding of Gender Identity within Catholic Education.
